Strong winds and blowing dust Monday & Tuesday

The KFOX14 Severe Weather Team has issued a Weather Warn that remains in effect for Tuesday due to the expectation of strong winds and blowing dust.

Winds could gust over 50 mph Tuesday, and visibilities may become reduced in areas of blowing dust.

It remains windy Monday night, with gusts 30-40+ mph ongoing, especially for East/Northeast El Paso.

Wind gusts on Tuesday are expected to range between 35-45+ mph out of the west and northwest.

Blowing dust is possible once again, however it will not be as dense as Monday due to a slight shift in wind direction.

Temperatures drop 10-15 degrees on the backside of the system on Tuesday, with highs in the mid 60s.

Avoid travel if possible, but use extreme caution if you must be outdoors, and/or on the roads.

Winds finally decrease on Wednesday ahead of another wind-maker Thursday and Friday.
