An updated coastal flood statement was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 2:58 p.m. in effect until Thursday at 7 a.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service comments, “Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (3.7 to 12.3 feet Mean Lower Low Water).”
“Some water on low-lying roads and property,” says the weather service. “Do not drive through flooded roadways.”
