The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 16,536.2 crore in market valuation on Monday, with Reliance Industries Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Bajaj Finance Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.
RIL’s market capitalisation fell Rs 16,374.2 crore to Rs 16.7 lakh crore, while that of TCS decreased Rs 8,032.2 crore to Rs 12.98 lakh crore. Bajaj Finance lost Rs 4,611.5 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 5.15 lakh crore.
State Bank of India was also among the losers, with its market cap falling approximately Rs 3,436 crore. ICICI Bank Ltd.’s market cap declined Rs 1,164.6 crore to Rs 85.6 lakh crore, while that of HDFC Bank Ltd. fell Rs 420.6 crore to 12.9 lakh crore.
