The Carolina Panthers are bringing back another one of their own for the 2025 season.
According to ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Panthers plan to sign wide receiver Dan Chisena on a one-year deal.
Carolina first signed Chisena to their practice squad back on Oct. 16, 2024. The 6-foot-3, 202-pound pass catcher would go on to play 81 snaps on special teams and 19 on offense, where he recorded three receptions for a total of 37 yards over six games.
Prior to landing with the Panthers, Chisena—who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020—picked up stops with the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens.
The Panthers, right before Fowler’s report, also officially announced deals for four free agents—defensive linemen Bobby Brown III and Tershawn Wharton, outside linebacker Patrick Jones II and safety Tre’von Moehrig.
