Breezy St. Patrick’s Day with temperatures in the 50s

Lingering Monday morning showers are expected through at least 7 a.m., especially east of Interstate 95, as a cold front slides through. You may still need the windshield wipers for the morning drive due to the wet pavement and road spray.

Morning clouds will give way to sunshine later in the day with gusty northwest winds ushering in drier air. Temperatures will remain in the 50s throughout the day and then temperatures will fall into the 40s after sunset, as the wind eases.

A dry and colder night is ahead with overnight lows falling into the 30s.

A beautiful spring-like day is in store for Tuesday. After a cold start, the sun will help temperatures soar into the upper 60s with relatively light winds.

Wednesday temperatures climb even more to the low 70s under partly cloudy skies and south winds around ten miles per hour.

Thursday marks the first day of spring with the equinox occurring at 5:01 a.m. Plan for a warm, breezy, and cloudy day with a few spring-showers possible. There is no risk of severe weather at this time.
