MILWAUKEE, Wis. − Following a thrilling comeback win over Texas in the First Four, No. 11 Xavier will face No. 6 Illinois Friday night in the first round of the Midwest regional.
Xavier (22-11) has won 13 of its last 17 games heading into the first round while Illinois (21-12) had a four-game winning streak snapped by Maryland one week ago in the Big 10 Tournament.
