The Milwaukee Brewers traded utility player Mark Canha to the Kansas City Royals for a player to be named later or cash considerations, sources told MLB.com’s Anne Rogers.
Canha slashed .242/.344/.346 with 20 doubles and 42 RBIs for the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants last season.
The 36-year-old hit .087/.250/.261 in 23 spring at-bats after signing a minor-league contract with the Brewers in February.
Kansas City will be Canha’s sixth team of his 10-year career.
