Very high winds are already kicking into gear as you start your Tuesday. Wind gusts have already peaked at over 30 mph, and sustained winds will be over 30 mph as we head into the afternoon, with gusts over 60 mph expected. Pairing this with warmer weather, such as highs in the 80°s, fire danger is at a critical level today. Tonight, a cold front will shift winds out of the northwest. It’ll still be very windy, however, the fire danger ought to drop off as higher humidity moves in, and perhaps our northern counties catch a light shower or two!
