SPENCER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person is dead following a head-on crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Spencer Township, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to Lincoln Lake Avenue NE and 19 Mile Road NE around 3 p.m. for a report of a head-on crash between a pickup truck and an SUV, authorities said.
According to investigators, one of the vehicles crossed the center line and crashed into the other vehicle head-on.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was minorly injured, deputies said, who added that there were no additional passengers in either vehicle.
The sheriff’s office did not say which of the vehicles crossed the center line, nor which of the drivers died.
This incident remains under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
