Sun, Rain, or Snow? Brewers Home Opener Weather

Happy Opening Day, Brewers fans! As the Brewers get ready to take the field in New York today against the Yankees, the weather is shaping up to be a non-factor-temperatures in the 50’s with no rain in sight. While fans back home eagerly await the first pitch at American family Field, let’s take a look at how weather has played a role in past Brewers home openers.

There were two recorded “snow days” since the Brewers have been in Milwaukee: 2016 and 1973. 2016 had only a trace of snow, but in 1973, the game had to be rescheduled due to a foot of snow!

The warmest days were in 1977 and in 2010 when the highs were in the 70’s and 80’s. In fact, in 2010 was the only time the roof was open for an Opening Day in Milwaukee. So Brewers fans, only time will tell what Monday’s home opener will look like!
