Amber Alert issued for 1-year-old girl abducted from Seattle daycare
SEATTLE — Seattle police are actively investigating the abduction of a 1-year-old girl from her daycare by a woman with a history of violence towards the child’s family.
The child was taken from a daycare, the MARS Early Learning Academy, near 9300 Rainier Avenue South around 2:30 p.m., according to Seattle police.
Authorities said the 1 and a half-year-old girl, Camara Vega, was last seen wearing Mickey Mouse pajamas and white shoes. She is 3 feet tall and weight 50-70 pounds.
Police say the suspect, identified as Quiana Marks, age 47, is known to the family and has a history of violence and threats towards Camara’s mother. She drives a gray 2020 Dodge Challenger 2D with the license plate BVM6981.
An active search is currently underway as police work to locate the missing child. If Camara, Quiana, or the suspect vehicle is seen, the community is urged to call 911.
Kent police are also involved in the search.
