Multiple injuries reported after possible explosion at apartment building on Detroit’s west side

An apartment complex in Detroit’s west side is badly damaged in what neighbors said sounded like an explosion early Monday morning.

Our crew quickly went to the scene on Littlefield just south of Schoolcraft on March 31 at around 4 a.m.

There is heavy damage to the building. Multiple injuries have been reported, including three people from the same family who were badly hurt.

Officials said 12 people have been rescued.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation by officials.
