James Gunn has shared a new photo of Milly Alcock from behind the scenes of the upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie.
Gunn took to social media on Monday, saying, “Today we celebrate #Supergirl and all her various incarnations. Can’t wait for you to see the latest version, portrayed by the indomitable @millyalcock, in June 2026.”
This is the second behind the scenes photo Gunn has shared from the film. Previously it was a shot from behind Alcock’s head, but so far we have not seen any images of her in her traditional Supergirl costume.
Craig Gillespie is directing from a screenplay adaption by Ana Nogueira from Tom King’s 2022 comic series of the same name.
Milly Alcock has been cast as Supergirl, Eve Miller as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain Krem of the Yellow Hill. Craig Gillespie will be directing.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026, just under a year after Superman hits on July 11, 2025.
