Armed barricaded subject in Dundalk, residents asked to shelter in place

Three schools have been placed on lockout and Dundalk residents are being asked to shelter in place as Baltimore County Police respond to an armed barricaded subject, officials said Monday.

Authorities say around 7:30 a.m. on April 1, police were called to the area of German Hill Road and Gray Manor Terrace for a report of shots fired.

Police are asking people to avoid the area as a precaution, and residents are being asked to shelter in place, away from windows and exterior doors.

While the incident is ongoing, Battle Grove Elementary School, Charlesmont Elementary School and General John Stricker Middle School are on lockout, police say.

Authorities say that a crisis negotiation team and tactical squad are on the scene.

This is a developing story. FOX45 has a crew on the way to the scene, and we will provide updates as they become available.
