MUNFORD, Tenn. — Munford High School is closed after a teacher was found dead inside a classroom Thursday morning, police said
Officers responded to the situation at the high school before the start of the school day, according to Munford Police Chief Randal Baskin in a statement posted on Facebook.
Investigators said officers found a teacher dead in the classroom. There are no signs of foul play.
Police said the situation has been contained and all students and staff are safe, but the school will be closed for the rest of Thursday, March 6. There is no threat to the community at this time.
